About Us

We are an innovative new venture focused on advanced micro nuclear power system for power generation to deliver safe, clean, and renewable power for the future. Our mission is to accelerate the transition to sustainable energy through advanced nuclear technology that is scalable, efficient, and reliable. As we expand, we are seeking passionate engineers to help design the next generation of thermal and power generation systems.

Position Summary

We are seeking a Mechanical Integrity/ Structural Engineer with a strong background in nuclear systems and turbomachinery to support the analysis, design, and life assessment of high-performance mechanical components operating in extreme environments. This role focuses on advanced thermal-structural analysis, materials behavior, and code-compliant integrity assessments to ensure safe, reliable, and optimized designs.

The successful candidate will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to interpret analysis results, recommend design improvements, and support material selection and qualification for high-temperature and high-stress applications.

Key Responsibilities

Structural & Mechanical Integrity Analysis
·       Perform thermal-structural, transient structural, modal, and seismic analyses of mechanical components and assemblies
·       Conduct low-cycle fatigue, creep, fracture mechanics, and crack growth assessments
·       Evaluate mechanical integrity of components subjected to high temperature, pressure, and cyclic loading
·       Assess and design bolted joints for structural integrity and fatigue performance
Materials & Constitutive Modeling
·       Develop and implement constitutive material models for high-temperature and time-dependent behavior
·       Support material testing and characterization, including interpretation of experimental data
·       Recommend and justify material selection based on operating conditions, degradation mechanisms, and code requirements
Codes, Standards & Compliance
·       Perform assessments in accordance with the ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code and applicable nuclear or industry standards
·       Support regulatory, safety, and design review processes through rigorous documentation and technical justification
Simulation & Automation
·       Build, troubleshooting and execute finite element models
·       Develop post-processing automation tools to efficiently extract, process, and visualize results
·       Ensure modeling assumptions and results are technically sound and clearly communicated
Technical Communication & Design Support
·       Document analysis methods, assumptions, results, and conclusions in clear, professional reports
·       Interpret simulation results and recommend appropriate design improvements
·       Collaborate with design, manufacturing, and materials teams to support product development and issue resolution

Required Qualifications

·       Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field

·       Strong experience in structural mechanics and mechanical integrity assessments

·       Hands-on experience with industry software (ANSYS, Abaqus, etc.)

·       Solid understanding of high-temperature materials behavior, fatigue, creep, and fracture mechanics

·       Experience applying ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code requirements

·       Ability to clearly document and communicate complex technical results

  • Ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary engineering teams

Preferred / Plus Qualifications

·      Experience in nuclear systems, turbomachinery, or other safety-critical industries
·      Advanced degree (MS or PhD) in a relevant discipline
·      Experience with seismic qualification or nuclear design methodologies
·      Background in automation or scripting for analysis post-processing (e.g., Python, MATLAB)
·      Familiarity with component life management or structural health monitoring

What We Offer

·      Opportunity to design critical systems in a pioneering clean energy company.
·      Competitive compensation and benefits including 401k and healthcare.
Compensation: $85,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
